A visit to the ŠKODA Museum in Mladá Boleslav

In addition to the permanent exhibition on the history of the Škoda and Laurin & Klement companies, we saw an exhibition devoted to the notable Czech Count Alexander “Sascha” Kolowrat-Krakowsky, the early twentieth century pioneer of motor racing. The exhibition, titled ‘Life at speed’ takes place on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the birth of the charismatic Count, whose interest ranged from motorcycle and car races to the cinema, and who established the first film studios in the monarchy.

We were most taken with the visit to the factory, where we were introduced to the modern production process of the most popular cars in the Czech Republic.

Taking us through with his expert commentary was Mr. Lukáš Lev www.privat-guide.com whose services we heartily recommend to anyone interested.

We thank the ŠKODA Museum for a most pleasant day.
