The National Theatre

As a long-time patron of Czech culture, the Kolowrat-Krakowsky family rented the Kolowrat Palace to the National Theatre, including the attics, for a symbolic amount of 1 Czech Crown, for a period of 20 years, as well as the neighbouring building, which serves as the utility premises of the Estates Theatre. It was one of the noblemen of Kolowraty, Count Jan Nepomuk Karel Kolowrat-Krakowsky, known as Hanuš, who made the largest donation to construction of the National Theatre.
