On Sunday 28 October 2012, Maximilian Kolowrat-Krakowsky handed over to Zdeněk Svěrák a cheque for CZK 200.000. More than CZK 9.120.000 was raised during a live broadcast at the Žižkov Theatre.

At the 18th annual charity concert participated: Vivaldiano, Radůza, J. Uhlíř, Hradišťan, Prague Chamber Guitar Orchestra, J. Jaroš and the Children’s Choir Sedmihlásek.

The Paraple Centre has just celebrated its 18th birthday. Currently the Paraple Centre supports about 30 wheelchair users a day.

In the Czech Republic, about four people a week suffer a spinal cord injury. They have to start all over again, in a wheelchair. The Paraple Centre has been helping these people since 1994. Every year, they help about 1500 wheelchair users from all over the Czech Republic. The clients attend rehabilitation stays, educational and sport stays, healthy lifestyle courses, art workshops, the Mom and Dad in Wheelchair program, and many others. This year, to secure all its activities, the Paraple Centre needs about CZK 28 million. The Paraple Centre is able to earn and obtain from the Prague metropolitan authorities about CZK 17 million, whilst the rest, i.e. more than CZK 11 million, needs to be obtained from donors. Please help us support Paraple!

You can help with CZK 30 per month throughout the year, by sending a DMS in the form of DMS ROK PARAPLE to 87777.
