The Kolowrat forests´s Hunters´ Ball helped the Children´s home in Tachov

The second annual Hunters´ Ball, organized by employees of The Kolowrat forests , took place on Friday, 15th of November 2013 in the hall of the former school in Přimda. The goal was not only to have a good time, but also to support a good cause. Takings from ticket sales, raffle tickets and moufflon auction went through Kolowrátek to the benefit of the Children´s home in Tachov.

„Last year´s inaugural ball turned out brilliantly and we do believe that this year we will raise a considerable amount of money,“ JUDr. Dominika Kolowrat-Krakowská said. Even before the evening was over she awarded Mr. Zdeněk Kropáč, the Children's home's director , with a cheque for 30.000 crowns. And, it was clear at that moment that there would be considerably more money. At the end of the night an incredible amount – 90.000 crowns had been raised! „We are really delighted with the amount of takings, I must admit that we didn´t expect so much money,“ Dominika Kolowrat-Krakowská sums up. „This donation should go to leisure activities for children, such as various activity clubs, trips, stays in the mountains and the like,“ she revealed. The Children´s home in Tachov has regular sponsors and The Kolowrat forests belong to the biggest of them.

After the official proceedings had finished, the ball continued with free dance entertainment led by the band Music. Everybody also enjoyed the performance of Zuzana Holáková, a 15 year old singer and member of the Children´s home in Tachov. This talented young lady managed to pass the entry exam to the Prague International Conservatoire, but eventually decided to defer her studies. The main prizes in the raffle included a petrol John Deere lawnmower , a precious glass decanter, a wild boar, deer fawns, sika deer does or baby moufflon. The program ran late into the night and everybody is already looking forward to next year.
