The Fund-raising Gamekeepers’ Ball for the Endowment Fund Kolowratek

On the last Friday in November, at Přimda, the staff of Kolowrat Forests organized the popular Fund-raising Gamekeepers’ Ball once again, now in its 5th year. The festive evening was opened with a fanfare by the Kolowrat Forests trumpeters. The guests were welcomed by JUDr Dominika Kolowrat-Krakowsky and Ing Vladimir Šístek, Head of Kolowrat Forests Management.

Lady Dominika Kolowrat-Krakowsky acquainted those present with the successful activities of Endowment Fund Kolowratek over the preceding year and thanked the partners and supporters for their financial support, directed in full to specific applicants. The proceeds from the Gamekeepers’ Ball, from admission, raffle tickets and the auction of a culled European deer – will go to help disabled and otherwise disadvantaged children.

The Endowment Fund Kolowratek is the principal patron of the Tachov Children’s Home and so the greater part of the proceeds from the Gamekeepers’ Ball will help arrange for the recreational activities of the resident children. At this point we should highlight that the lion’s share of the proceeds from the Gamekeepers’ Ball is down to the Kolowrat Forests staff, who mastered the organization of the evening down to the last detail.

The program was very well comprised, the dance music was played by the Music from Klatovy band, with pleasant variety from the bagpipe folk ensemble Kaštánek from the Children’s Home in Tachov, appearing in the traditional Chodsko region folk costumes. The children, together with their guardians, sang and played folk-songs and Christmas carols. The entire, very pleasant evening, was rounded off by the Kolowrat Forests trumpeters, who played out twelve hunting fanfare and signals on a variety of hunting horns. To be heard here were the ‘Gloria’, the ‘Coronation fanfare’, the Bohemian-Moravian Gamekeepers’ Association and Trumpeters’ Guild signature tunes, the ‘Selement’, the ‘Halali’ and more.

Our Advent wish to everyone is for peaceful and restful Christmas holidays.
